He was born in Chicago on August 27, 1960, the son of Joseph F. Sr. and Luanne (Johnson) Lukaszewski.
After moving to Springfield, Illinois in 1993, Joe spent nearly three decades raising his children, building a life, and forming lasting friendships. As a young man, he had a deep love for adventure, travel, and music. He found success in sales, not simply through skill, but through his genuine care for people, his strong moral compass, and the steadfast loyalty he showed to those he loved. He was the kind of person you wanted on your side when things were difficult.
Joe was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and unmistakable zest for life, especially when his Chicago teams were winning. In later years, he found joy in riding his Harley Davidson, playing pool, and, most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lisa Cannon; his father Joseph; his sister, Laurie Lukaszewski-Taliaferro; and his nephew, Cody Lukaszewski. Joe now joins them, gaining his wings and finding peace.
Joe is survived by his mother, Luanne Lukaszewski of Huntley, IL; son, Kyle (Meg) Lukaszewski of Pleasant Plains, IL; daughter, Lauren (Ben) Moscardelli of Louisburg, KS; grandchildren, Vittoria Kates, Violet and Barrett Moscardelli, and Lincoln Lukaszewski; siblings, Linda (Kevin) Wilson of Azle, TX, Susan (Emil) Buczkowski of Westmont, IL, and John (Kay) Lukaszewski of Crystal Lake, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
