Joseph C. Siterlet, Jr., 66, of Loami, passed away at 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Provena United Samaritan Hospital in Danville. Joseph was born September 18, 1945 in Monroe, MI, the son of Joseph C. and Mary I. Hendryckx Siterlet, Sr. He married Virginia Lee Renfro in 2010 and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2011. Joseph graduated from Catholic Central in Monroe, MI in 1963. He proudly served his country for 32 years in the U.S. Army. He was a Command Sargent Major for the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Siterlet. He is survived by his children, LaShawn (husband, Pete) DeVos of Springfield, Andrea (husband, Bruce) Pinkstaff of Springfield, Valerie (husband, Thomas) Thompson of Sherman, Joshua (wife, Angela) Siterlet of Bethalto, and Hei Kei Kovacik of Pueblo, CO; three grandchildren, Michael DeVos, Abigail DeVos, and Faith Thompson; brother, James Siterlet of Urbana; and sister, Mary Ward of Toledo, OH. Private family graveside ceremony will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
