Joyce Yvonne Eaton

Joyce Yvonne Eaton, 73, of Springfield, died at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2003 at St. John’s Hospital. Joyce was born July 17, 1929 in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of B. Raymond and Nola Hutchison Richardson. She married Thomas H. Carline in 1949 and later married Marvin L. Eaton, July 25, 1968; he preceded her in death March 1982. Mrs. Eaton was a graduate of West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL and DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was employed as a caseworker and Regional Superintendent for the Illinois Department of Public Aid for 25 years retiring in 1991. She was a member of Junior League of Rockford and a sustaining member of Junior League of Springfield and a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three daughters: Cathy (husband, Paul) Wankle of Pleasanton, CA, Sue Carline of San Francisco, CA, Debbie (husband, Bill) Prather of Springfield and two grandchildren: Alexandra and Margaret Prather both of Springfield. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2003. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating. Private burial will be Friday, January 17, 2003 at Wheatland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Plainfield, IL.
