Joyce “Joy” Lynn Fry went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2026 at the age of 65. She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 17, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul R. Fry and her mother, Ellen K. Rasmussen (John Rasmussen).
Joy is survived by her siblings: Debbie Grman (Lee Cantrall), Nancy Rice (Tim) and John Fry (Lynette), her best friend and caregiver Tammy Dew and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce attended Springfield High School. She graduated with a computer programming degree from a technical school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Joyce went on to work in information technology at Bank One in Chicago, Horace Mann and the State of Illinois.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday November 11, 2026 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00am until the time of service Wednesday at Bisch West.
