Judith Anne "Judi" Burke, 56, of Springfield, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Judi was born February 19, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of John J. and Margaret Kloppenburg Burke. Judi worked as a respiratory therapist at Memorial Medical Center and was a member of St. Joseph Church. She was preceded in death by her father, John J. Burke. She is survived by her son, John Vehmeyer of Chicago; mother, Margaret Burke of Springfield; three sisters, Kitsy (Pete) Bryant, Mary (Gary) Faxon, and Joanie (Mike) Gaffney, all of Springfield; five nieces; three nephews; one great-nephew; several cousins; and her dog, Houser. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Joseph Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
