She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Leola Mielke of Evansville, Indiana, two brothers and a sister, her husband of 62 years Bill, her daughter Jennifer Weedman 44 years old and Lance Weedman (son of Jennifer) 2 years old. She is survived by her granddaughter Melissa (Emily) Jankauski and her great granddaughter Ruthie, who was the light of her life.
She was known as the “Teddybear lady” and made 2044 bears in her lifetime. She was a survivor of breast cancer and she found beauty in all things in nature. She will be dearly missed by her family and was a bright spot in their lives.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 29, 2025 at 11:00am at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, Springfield, Illinois. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Saturday at Bisch and Son Funeral Home.
