Mrs. Pierceall is survived by one son Michael David (Tracy) Pierceall of Springfield, one grandson Brandon Pierceall of Springfield, one sister Lynda (Oscar) Files of Dawson, one nephew Paul (Kim) Files of Riverton, one niece Karen (Marcus) Sherrod of Springfield and two great-nephews: Benjamin Levine and Jacob Files. She was preceded in death by her grandson Logan Pierceall.
Karen graduated from Lincoln Land Community College and worked as the Director Assistant for the Illinois State Museum retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Illinois State Museum Society.
Cremation rites were accorded and a graveside service took place at Oak Ridge Cemetery
