Katherine Marie Childers

Katherine "Kat" Childers, 44, of Springfield died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at her home. Katherine was born July 13, 1963 in St. Louis the daughter of Fred �Cap� and Rose Maxey Boosinger. She was preceded in death by her father in 2005. She attended Springfield High School. She enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, camping, traveling and word search books. She loved being with her grandchildren and her family, and most of all she loved her mother for being there during the times she needed her most. She is survived by her mother: Rose Marie Boosinger; two sons: Scott (companion, Jennifer Dyer) Jurgens and Joshua Childers; one daughter: Brittney (companion, Leroy) Childers; five brothers: James (wife, Teri), Tim (wife, Tammy), Kerry (wife, Brandi), Andy (wife Alison) and Kevin (companion, Tracy) Boosinger; two sisters: Mary (husband Jerry) Childers and Janie Boosinger; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a companion: Steve Beene. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 4:45 pm with funeral ceremonies beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Cremation to be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kat Childers Memorial Fund.
