Kathleen "Kat" Wade

She was born on May 22, 1926 in Meredosia, IL, the daughter of the late George Raymond and Bessie (Bollyard) Wade.

Kathleen worked as a timekeeper for Sangamo Electric in Springfield and then worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue. She attended First Congregational Church in Springfield, liked to bowl and play golf. She enjoyed attending and watching the LPGA Rail Classic Golf Tournament when it came to Springfield. She loved to socialize and was a Friday regular at Gabatoni’s restaurant.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, 1 sister and special friend, Nancy Henderson. She is survived by a sister-in-law Ann Wade of Cincinnati, OH; nephews Phil (wife Mary Ann) Wade of Napoleon, OH and Jim Wade of Cincinnati, OH, a niece Cindy Wade of Cincinnati, OH; a great-niece Janie (husband Ken) Spille of Cincinnati, OH, and a great-nephew Danne‘ (wife Rita) Lathrom of Springfield.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10 am at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield.
