Kathleen “Kathy” Calvert, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at her home.

She was born on May 16, 1953, in Springfield, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Hergenrother) Sheehan.

Kathy worked as a temp office worker for the State of Illinois. Prior to that, she had worked as a floral designer.

She is survived by her companion Loren Gandy of Springfield; 4 children, Shannon Holloway of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael (Sharla) Murphy of Slidell, LA, Stephanie Calvert of Kenbridge, VA, and Stephen Calvert of Springfield; 3 step-daughters, Heather Gandy of Middletown, IL, Jennifer Gandy of Springfield, and Katlyn Gandy of Springfield; several grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Frank Sheehan of Springfield, Barbara (Bruce) Dorworth of Vacaville, CA, Pat Erwin of Elgin, IL, Michael Sheehan of Springfield, and Maureen Marsagila of Springfield.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Colleen Rhodes, and a sister in infancy Michelle Sheehan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mom I dont know what I'm going to do without you who do I call now I'm still in shock it just doesn't seem right I miss you so much already I wish so many things but I cannot change the past I can only cherish the memories and everything you taught me I'm trying to stay strong for you and I know you will always be with me now I love you so much mom thank you for everything and for always being there for me no matter what
