Keith’s strong, steady presence came into the world on January 11, 1948, in Washington, Missouri, born to Walter Frank and Dolores Marie (Struckhoff) Hamann. Raised on the family farm alongside his four siblings—Gary, Colette, Kirk, and Craig—he learned early the value of hard work, the land, and taking care of the people he loved. His aunt "Gigi" was also a special and foundational influence in his life, shaping the man he grew to be. That farm-boy spirit stayed with him throughout his life, and he loved nothing more than bush-hogging on his land in Brown County.
A proud veteran of the United States Army and a lifelong defender of the Constitution, Keith completed technical school following his military service. He began his career as a computer technician for Sorbus Inc. before transitioning into financial services, where he ultimately retired.
Keith met the love of his life, Amy Sue, and together they built a faithful marriage spanning almost 55 years. He was a devoted husband who showed up for her every single day. Together, they were blessed with three children: Chad Richard (Claire), Matthew Scott (Jackie), and Sara Elizabeth, with whom he eagerly awaited a reunion in heaven. His joy was made complete in his four grandchildren: Miles Richard, Holly Belle, Olive Sue, and Fletcher Matthew.
An avid outdoorsman, Keith found happiness fishing, farming, and hunting ducks, upland game, and white-tailed deer. Through every season of life, he remained a man of quiet strength, deep conviction, and unwavering faith. A passionate follower of Jesus, he made the people around him feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, patriotism, and devotion that will continue through the family he treasured.
