She was born in Springfield, September 27, 1960 the daughter of Bernard A. “Bernie” and Betty Ann (Pappas) Levine. Her mother and a daughter, Tiffany Dougherty both preceded her in death.
Kelly worked for the State of Illinois Department of Insurance until her retirement after 25 years of service. She was a member of Temple B’rith Shalom. Kelly worked diligently to raise her family. She had an infectious smile and a welcoming heart.
Surviving are her two sons: Johnny Dougherty Jr and Jacob (Angela Butler) Chase both of Springfield, an abundance of loving grandchildren, her father and step-mother Bernie and Grace Levine of Chatham, sister, Dana (John Wells) Levine of Springfield, her brother, Douglas (life partner Calvin Yeung) Levine of Los Angeles, CA and her nephew.
Arrangements are in the care of Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, where the family will greet friends from 10:00 am til the time of the funeral service at 11:00 Thursday, March 7, 2019 Rabbi Michael Datz will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
