

Kenneth Wayne Watson, Sr., 63 of Divernon, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1954 in Chicago to William Tom and Mary Lee Lovingood Watson. He married Karen Joyce Vaught on September 13, 1980. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Linda Johnson. Kenny retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 2014, as an equipment manager, after 40 years of service to the industry. Kenny was a very giving manand would often go above and beyond what was asked of him for family and friends. His passion in life was helping others; he was a very skilled woodworker and cabinet maker. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Karen; son, Kenneth Wayne Watson, Jr of Auburn; mother, Mary Lee Watson of Madisonville, TN; brothers, Gary (Jeanette) Watson of Tellico Plains, TN and Dennis (Cathy) Watson of Madisonville, TN; sisters, Judy Atchley and Janet Holcomb both of Madisonville, TN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. His family will greet friends from 4pm until the time of the Celebration of his life at 7pm, Friday January 26, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL, 62629. Family and friends will share memories, with Paula Staab Polk as Memorial Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
