He was born in Davenport, IA, on January 25, 1957, the son of Robert and Thelma M. (Carter) Hendricker.
Kevin was a bartender at Track Shack for over 30 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and also enjoyed keeping up with football, NASCAR, and baseball. Most of all, Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished every moment with his grandchildren! He was a master at stirring the pot and seemed to take great pleasure in getting under people's skin. Agreeing with someone was apparently too easy, so if you said the sky was blue, he'd argue it was green. He loved pushing buttons, challenging everything, and driving people a little crazy. If he got you riled up, he considered it a job well done. It was one of the many ways he made sure he was never forgotten. He was a loyal friend, always there for everyone, and was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Hendricker; brothers, Douglas E. and James R. Hurley; and sisters, Nancy E. Barron and Kathy D. Hendricker.
Kevin is survived by his children; Melissa Hendricker, Melinda (Curt) Glenn, Sarah Hendricker, Kevin Hendricker, and Abbey Hendricker; grandchildren, Kevon and Devyn Heard, Adreonnah and Kaylee Sloper, Bradley Marts, Ethan McNabb, Felicity, Keeton, and Nadalie Knott, Teagan Ford, Josiah and Genesis Jones; Zahra Imamdad; and Jaxon and Hayden Hendricker; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Jim) Pershing, and Karla (Denny) Lucas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will gather to say their final goodbyes at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association of Springfield.
