

Kevin Edward Shea, 54, of Chatham, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. He was born February 23, 1959, in Springfield, IL to the late Lawrence and Marjorie Cashin Shea. Kevin married Anne Catherine Clark April 24, 1982, and they moved to Chatham in 1988, to raise their family. Mr. Shea graduated from Griffin High School in 1977. Kevin worked for the State of Illinois in Physical Services for many years; he was a member of the Carpenter�s Local #16. He loved carpentry and lovingly restored many homes for his family and friends. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, his black lab, �Coal� and his trucks. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Shea Memorial Conservation Fund which will continue to reflect his love for the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Anne of Chatham; sons, Sean and Ryan Shea, both of Springfield; brothers, Dennis, Dan and Tim Shea; Aunt, Peg Farney and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his sister Maureen Shea Smith, and brother, Rusty Shea. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois in Chatham. Memorial Ceremony: 4pm, Sunday, April 7, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham , with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. A memorial gathering to share stories about Kevin�s life will follow the service until 5:30pm.
