Kipp “Shep” Sheppard, Sr., 50, of Springfield, died at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1956 in Phoenix, AZ the son of Clarence H. and Shirley Ann Moats Sheppard. Shep was a lifetime semi-truck driver. He and his dad owned their own business, C.H. Sheppard & Son Oil Company in the 1980s. Shep loved trucks and enjoyed working on trucks and was also a shade tree mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence H. Sheppard in 1992. He is survived by one son: Kipp Sheppard Jr. of Springfield; one daughter Heather L. Sheppard of Springfield; two grandchildren; his mother, Shirley Ann Sheppard of Springfield; two aunts and one uncle. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Scott Brindley officiating.
