

He was born in Macomb on December 6, 1984, the son of Mark A. and Tina M. (Hammond) Petroski. Kirk married Elizabeth A. Brockamp on September 4, 2018.
Kirk worked as an independent contractor for UTZ and was also an avid numismatist (coin collecting). He loved to cook, grill, and smoke meat for his family, and he volunteered his time cooking for Mary Bryant Home for the Blind. Kirk also enjoyed listening to 80s music.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis F. Petroski; grandmother, Janell E. Hammond; aunt, Toni F. Hammond; and father-in-law, Joe L. Brockamp.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Beth; stepdaughter, Aunna M. Beranek; parents, Mark and Tina; siblings, Kyle Petroski, Kris (Elise N.) Petroski, and Kaden Petroski; nephews, Connrad M. Petroski and Anthony L. Petroski; grandmother, Dorothy E. Petroski; and mother-in-law, Bonnie W. Brockamp.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703.
Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, with Rev. Paul Rose officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
