It's difficult to choose what to write about my friend Larry.I had so many great times with him.We'd pack his van or Classic Rambler with fellow collectors and drive to record shows or stores.As others mentioned he was a very kind man with a hearty laugh.He had many talents and never needed to sleep much.Always very busy with a project or interest.I remember going to his parent's house in the '80's when he lived there and always feeling very welcome even with my young son running around!I'm going to miss him but have many memories that always make me smile.I know I'm not alone in that thought.God bless you,Larry.My prayers go out to his family.

I was so suprised to find out about Larry's passing. I knew him from about town with his cars, his bike riding,,,and speed walking. Also,he was my son's next door neighbor and he was a wonderful neighbor!! He was a wonderful friend and neighbor to all..such a loss! Our prayers are with your family!

Although it has been several years since I worked with Larry, I often think of him and the fun our group used to have at DPA.  Larry was always there to help and he was a fantastic music source whenever, whatever you had questions about.  He will be missed, my sympathies to the Jones family.

I met Larry years ago when I was a little girl. He was always very patient with my brother & I when we would get in his way when he would be organizing his records in my mother's store.

I was very sad to hear of Larry's passing. I met Larry 28 years ago when he walked into the store that I had just opened and asked if I would sell his records. Over the years we became very good friends and I discovered how talented he was.  He was musical, artistic and could build and remodel many things.  He always seemed to have a project going. He also had a loving place in his heart for animals. My children and I want to offer our condolences to his family.

When I heard of Larry's passing, it brought much sadness. He was a close friend and neighbor of our family on Reynolds.  One fond memory I have of him was when I was 15 years old and I worked at the Dairy Rose ice cream parlor on Carpenter street. They were looking for a jiggle for their store. I played the guitar and sang and told Larry I'd like to create a song for them. He was excited for me and offered to record my song in his studio. So that we did. Rest in peace Larry you were loved by many.

Larry lived next door to our daughter and we were so appreciative of the way he helped her in many ways.  We worried about her living by herself when she bought her house.  But Larry helped put our minds at ease by the way he made sure she was safe.  I met Larry in person just a few weeks ago when I came back to visit with her and he was such a nice interesting person.   The Stubers

I was fortunate to know Larry and have him as a friend.  He was witty, talented, gentle and honest. I last saw him earlier this year and he was completely recovered from the dramatic heart attack he'd experienced. We laughed about life and growing old. I will miss him!

I have known Larry for 27 years. He was always busy and doing things. He was never lazy and got done what he wanted done. These are rare traits now. I respect the way he lived his life as he wished. His Ramblers were an interesting collection and reflected his interest in unusual things. I am sad to see him gone he always had a smile and a greeting eveytime we met. I extend my sympathies to his family.

Larry and I worked together on many projects at DPA/IDHS in the Dept. of Communications back in the late 90's.  He was a great graphic artist, artist and a great guy. A very kind person, he was always willing to help people.  He was part of a whole close crew in that department that had such fun and shared many adventures. Recently, I will always remember seeing him riding his bike around town, flying like the wind (just like he walked). I am sure he is flying now, looking down on us all.  His memory and friendship will always be a part of my past and a great treasure to me.

I've known Larry since we both grew up on Reynolds and attended Douglas School and then onto SHS.  He was a year ahead of me - with my brother, Jerry - but we were very close in the old neighborhood.  Larry could walk so fast, and no one could keep up with him. (He knew about speed walking before it was invented!) Then moving onto Lowell, I'd see him out mowing his lawn, and always going at a high rate of speed.  Bless him on his new journey.

Larry was a great person with a kind heart and always had a smile on his face every time you saw him.  I will miss him deeply.

 I worked with Larry several years ago at DPA/DHS and he was always pleasant and willing to help with any project.  I'm sure he will be missed by many.  My deepest sympathies to his family.

Larry was one of my Mom's best friends and I learned this week that he was right beside her while she was pregnat with me. He sent Mom flowers in the hospital after I was born. More than what my bio-father did.Larry lived down the street from us on Reynolds (Our number 346) and always checked up on us when Mom was working. I remember him in tennis shoes and always walking. He painted a picture of a door with a mirror hanging on it and go to find out it was the door in our hallway on Reynolds street, I loved that picture, made me appreciate oil paintings. He was a kind person worried about us kids. Thank you God allowing us to have a special person like Larry in our lives, even if it was just a touch.

Many years ago on old Reynold Street I was happy to know Larry Jones he was my Mothers Best Buddy. They and sometimes we went for walks had talks in the front room where I pretended to know what they were saying. I simply stuck around because I couldn't wait to hear Larry laugh!!  What great memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Larry at Public Aid and he was a wonderful guy with heart of gold and fantastic artistic ability. I'm sure he will missed by many.

Larry was  good friend, I have many fond memories of the years we worked together. His passing was to early.

Larry was a permanent fixture on our front porch swing when he and I were young teens. Even until now Larry has been visiting my parents' grave site regularly leaving flowers. May you finally  find love and peace in the next life, Larry Jones. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Jones.

Randy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother.

Sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I worked with him many years ago at the Department of Corrections, although we lost touch after he left there. He was a dear, sweet man and I'm sure you will miss him.
