Larry Morgan, 57, of Chatham, died at 5:40 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. Larry was born May 4, 1948 in Hopewell, VA the son of Willis Melvin Morgan, Jr. and Dorothy Evelyn Brown Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a graduate of Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. He was employed as a Logistics Engineer for the Federal Government retiring in 2003. Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Suburban Baptist Church in Granite City and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He is survived by one brother; Dennis Morgan of Chester, VA; and friends Al and Karen Riddley and family of Chatham. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Suburban Baptist Church in Granite City with Pastor Al Riddley officiating. The family of Larry Morgan is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St Springfield.
