He was born in Springfield on December 16, 1946, the son of Junior Paige and Angelina (Sacco) Larson. Larry married Deborah Moomey, in Mechanicsburg, on October 12, 1985.
Larry graduated from Feitshans High School. He then worked and retired from the Lincoln Land Community College Bookstore. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. In his spare time, he loved to read, hunt, spend time in nature, and doodle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deborah; and brother, Fred Larson.
Larry is survived by his son, Andy (Morgan Bowen) Larson of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Mattea (Nick) Tavernor of Lincoln; and grandchildren, Justin and Braxton Larson and Owen and Angelina Tavernor.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by Army DOD and Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
