When you needed a smile and a friendly hello, Charlie was it. 

We were classmates at SHS '57, I remember Charlie as the outgoing individual with a ready smile and a warmth that was extended to anyone he met. It made no difference what  your social status was in the hierarchy of the High School Society, because everyone was okay with Charlie. He had a degree of intelligence that made him an outstanding student and he had an obvious desire to become the great teacher that he became. I salute his memory and wish his wife and family the obvious warm memories that he has left behind. PEACE!

 My cubicle was right next to Charlie's at EPA.  I remember his humor, kindness and quiet ways.  What I remember most is the way his voice softened when he spoke to Norma on the telephone during his break at work.
