Linda Lee Janus

Linda was born on January 29, 1927, in Springfield, the daughter of Leon and Marie Jaeger (née Thompson). She married Daniel J. Janus at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Linda graduated from the University of Illinois and worked at the family business, Jaeger Beauty and Barber Supply Company, and as an accountant for the State of Illinois. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of Chapter FU of the PEO Sisterhood for 73 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and son, Daniel Lee “Danny” Janus.

Linda is survived by her children, Mark J. Janus of Springfield, Dr. Todd J. (wife, Peggy) Janus of Des Moines, and Anne-Marie (husband, Jeff) Thrasher of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Marie Janus of Chicago, Andrew (wife, Abigail) Thrasher of Noblesville, IN, Amy (husband, Terrence) Smith of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth (husband, Robert) Janus of Washington, D.C., and David (wife, Taylor) Janus of Quincy; and great-grandchildren, Lawson and Palmer Janus, and Elizabeth Thrasher.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Blythe Denham Kieffer officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
