Linda was born September 15, 1943, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Russell and Ruth Sapp Greer.
She graduated from Tallula High School in 1962 and worked for the State of Illinois Secretary of State for 24 years. Linda was a member of First United Methodist Church, Young at Heart Christian Fellowship Group, and First United Methodist Church Women's Group. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, traveling, playing cards, dinner with the girls, and ballroom dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Bill Worthington; and grandson, John Matthew Sinovich.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael (Lisa) Oxford of Williamsville; and grandson, John Oxford.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield.
Graveside Ceremony will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg, IL.
