

Linda A. Puls, 45, of New Berlin, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Regency Nursing Home. Linda was born November 9, 1957 in Springfield, the daughter of Harry W. and Marie LaVerne Clancy Leigh. She married Arnold E. Puls July 18, 1981 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Linda was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and graduated in 1977 from Lincoln Land College. Linda was employed as a repairperson for Eastern Pipeline before working as a Staff Assistant for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). She was a former School Board Member and Past President for a number of years at St. Mary’s in New Berlin. She was a member of Sangamon County Farm Bureau, American Hereford Association, 4-H Alumni, American Maine-Anjou Association and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was a past member of Young Farmers. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband: Arnold of New Berlin; two sons: Christopher L. and Grant E. Puls at home; one daughter: Erin M. Puls at home; mother: M. LaVerne Leigh of Springfield; one sister: Sandra L. (husband, Tim) Trower of Baraboo, WI; one uncle: Patrick (wife, Barbara) Clancy of Tulsa, OK; two nephews; several cousins and numerous friends. Friends may call Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Reverend Richard Chiola celebrant. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery, Farmingdale, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda Puls Fund c/o St. Agnes Catholic Church 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield, IL 62702.
