Lona Jean Boggs

She was born on July 17, 1960, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Harry and Joanna (Koehler) Griffitts. Lona married Curtis Boggs on January 17, 1981, at Riverton Christian Church.

Lona graduated from Riverton High School in 1978. She worked as an inventory manager at Hoosier Tire Company in Springfield, for 13 years. Lona enjoyed crafts, playing bingo, and loved roller skating with her husband. She was the kindest person you could know; had a heart of gold; and would do anything for anybody. Lona also had a great sense of humor and adored her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lori Simmering; and brothers, Rich and Timmy Griffitts.

Lona is survived by her husband, Curtis Boggs of Spaulding; daughter, Bobbijo Bodine of Riverton; grandchildren, Carter Vanhuss and Ryson Bodine; siblings, Roxy Wardell of Buffalo, IL and Tammy Monier of Port Charlotte, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
