Lorene "Lori" Schumer Haworth

Lorene "Lori" Schumer Haworth, 57, of Springfield, died at 3:06 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Lori was born October 22, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of David A. and Jeanette Stevens Schumer. She first married James Brock and they later divorced. She then married William W. "Bill" Haworth on July 29, 1988 in Springfield. Lori was employed at St. John's Hospital for 17 years as an Orthopedics Tech, and retired from CSC as a data entry operator. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower. She was preceded in death by her father, David A. Schumer and sister, Jenifer. She is survived by her husband, Bill Haworth of Springfield; three sons, Joshua (wife, Dawn) Brock of Seymour, Robert (companion, Gail Turner) Brock of Watertown, WI, and Trevor Haworth of Springfield; daughter, Erin (husband, Derrick) Reed of Springfield; six grandchildren; mother, Jeanette Schumer of Chatham; two brothers, Philip (wife, Deborah) Schumer of Chatham and David C. (wife, Ellen) Schumer of Bourbonnais; best friend, Pearl (husband, John) Stanulis; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. John Ossola, celebrant.
