She was born on November 10, 1946, in Racine, WI, the daughter of Henry and Myrtle Sanders Altendorf.
Lori attended Rochester Christian Church. She was a bus driver for District 186, which she enjoyed, for 29 years. She also loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her son, Marlin Conaway; brother, Norbert Klinkhammer; and sister, MaryAnn Tomklewizz.
Lori leaves behind her daughters, Kimberly (Doug Schemmer) Conaway and Dawn (Dillon) Woods, both of Springfield; son, Zach Inskip of Springfield; three step daughters of Springfield; sisters, Beth Hilligoss, Jean Conaway, and Lois McAllister; grandchildren, Michael Rentschler, Nikki Conaway, Casey Conaway, Holly Conaway, Marlin Conaway Jr., Matthew Conaway, Tyler Geisler, Clayton Woods, and Cayden Woods; and several great-grandchildren. There are also several nieces, nephews and extended family members that will miss her dearly.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family will host a Celebration of Life from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Anchor Boat Club, 407 E. Lake Shore Dr., Springfield.
