Lorraine Sue Reynolds

She was born on August 13, 1931, the only child of the late Leonard and Goldie Stephens of Decatur, IL. Lorraine married William E. Reynolds in 1956 in Kansas City, MO., and they later divorced.

Lorraine graduated from Decatur High School in 1949. She had a long career as a private secretary, first for the Decatur Public School System and at A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company before moving to Springfield where she retired from the State of Illinois Department of Corrections in 2000.

She earned her private pilot’s license in 1977. Lorraine was actively involved with The Ninety Nines and the Illinois Pilots Association for many years and later served on the Board of Directors for Springfield Air Rendezvous until 2004.

There are no survivors and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League and services are entrusted to Bisch and Son Funeral Home, www.bischandsonfuneralhome.com.
