

Louis was born on October 9, 1930, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Louis H. and Mary J. Bircket Anderson. He married Imogene Case on April 6, 1957, in Virginia.
Louis was a graduate of Elkhart High School. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Louis co-owned the Men’s Room Barber Shop for over 50 years. He was a member of the Elks Club and the First Congregational Church, where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday School. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, grilling, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Anderson of Springfield; four sons, Thomas (wife, Allyson), Craig (wife, Terri), Daniel (wife, Ligia), and Joseph (wife, Lisa) Anderson; and eight grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Megan, Jack, Casey, Samuel, Lara, and Paul.
Graveside Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Lesa Branham officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail and the Department of Defense.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
