Lyndal Eugene Magee

He was born on April 29, 1930 in New Berlin, IL, the son of the late William and Leta May (Edwards) Magee. He married Brenda Gobel on July 7, 1986.

Mr. Magee served in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed farmer and also enjoyed working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Magee of Springfield; children, Shirley (husband Bob) Gullo of Springfield, Roy (wife Janet) Magee of Springfield, Darla (husband Mike) Tolliver of New Berlin, IL, Richard Magee of Virden, IL, David (wife Kana) Bauer of Abilene, TX, and Cindy Kelley of Chatham; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister Maxine Werries of New Berlin, IL.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert and Roger Magee.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where memorial visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5 pm until time of the memorial service at 7 pm. Rev. John Nelson will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
