

Dallas was born July 15, 1937, in Jacksonville, the son of Arthur and Eloise Maxine Bull Witt. He married Darlene Roesch on August 20, 1954, in Springfield.
Dallas attended Feitshans High School. He retired from O’Shea Builders in 1998. He was a member of Loami Christian Church, the Carpenter’s Union Local #16, Cool Cruisers of Springfield, and Route 97 Crusaders. Dallas also taught carpenters apprentice class for several years and enjoyed rebuilding and showing classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Byron and Larry Witt; and his uncle and aunt who raised him, Milburn and Elsie Bull.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Darlene Witt of Springfield; children, Mark (Brenda) Witt of New Berlin, Jeanne (Donald) Williams of Taylorville, and Janice (John) McCann of Loami; grandchildren, Joe (Amanda) Williams of Niantic, Jason (Anne Latshaw) McCann of Springfield, Melissa (Jason) Parry of Taylorville, Lindsey Witt of New Berlin, and Jennifer (Michael) Rubert of New Berlin; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Sandy (Bob) Rogers of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside ceremony: Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12 pm at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami with Pastor Anthony Bliss officiating.
