

Mable Theresa Baker, 84, of Murrayville, formerly of Springfield, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004 at her home. Mable was born February 27, 1920 in Springfield the daughter of Charles and Emma Florence Thompson Richard. She married Jesse Oliver Baker, July 15, 1936 in Springfield; he preceded her in death May 7, 2000. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son: Walt Baker; four sisters and one brother. She is survived by one daughter: Kay Ratliff of Murrayville; three sons: Michael Baker of Springfield, Charles S. Baker of Murrayville and Claude S. Baker of Mobile, MO; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
