Mr. Patterson is survived by two children: Caroline Patterson of Springfield and David (Reylynn) Patterson of Morrisonville. His three brothers: Timothy (Helen) Patterson, Phillip (Cindy) Patterson and Andrew (Carolyn) Patterson, one sister Luttie Patterson Borrow and four grandchildren: Emalia Judd, Logan Judd, Christian Patteerson and Landon Patterson.
Marc worked for the State of Illinois at the Department of Revenue's print shop. He played guitar with the Mark 2 Trio in his youth. After returning from two tours in Vietnam, he owned a photography business in Kansas with his brother Philip. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Society of Central Illinois. Marc was very involved with family history. He collected several family photographs and attended family reunions gathering information. In retirement, he advocated for Veterans. He assisted them in filing for disability benefits.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday August 26, 2026 at Beardstown City Cemetery in Beardstown, Illinois.
