Margaret "Marge" Carter Eberhardt, of Springfield, passed away on February 6, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born on October 27, 1916 in South St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of Sterling Roff and Anna Mae (Krebs) Carter. She married Dr. Frank A. Eberhardt on August 30, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. Marge was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church downtown since 1951. She belonged to the "Two by Two" Sunday school class and was a past member of the YWCA "Y-not" dancers. Marge was also the Past President and life member of the PTA and Past President of the Delta Theta Tau sorority, local chapter Beta Omicron. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a proud homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and her sister, Mildred J. Fry in 2011. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Don Eberhardt and Terry (wife, Pamela and son, Jeff) Eberhardt; grandchildren, Amber, Erik, Luke and Paul, all of Springfield; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins from the St. Louis, MO area.
