

Marian was born March 26, 1924 in Springfield the daughter of Charles J. and Anna Quinn Oswald. She married Eugene D. Hildebrandt on October 11, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1989. She later married Edward T. Anderson on February 13, 1993, in Riverton and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1999. Marian was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles J. Oswald, Jr. and sister, Dorothy J. Finney.
Marian had been employed by Kresge Dime Stores, Sangamo Electric, Illiopolis School District, and Holiday Inn and Convention Center of Decatur. She was a past member of Illiopolis Altar and Rosary Society and the Illiopolis Kitchen Band.
From 2000-2007, Marian was a much-loved Foster Grandparent at the Teddy Bear Daycare in Riverton, IL where she "got to rock babies every day!" She was honored with a Certificate for Excellence as a Foster Grandparent on April 22, 2006. Marian was also a member of the P.O.L.K. of A. of Springfield and was named Princess from 1995-1996. She and her husband, Edward, were named King and Queen of the P.O.L.K. of A. of Springfield from 1998-1999.
Surviving are her children, Danny G. Hildebrandt and Donna (husband, Thomas) Phillips, both of Springfield, Michael L. (wife, Micki) Hildebrandt of Illiopolis and Lisa (husband, Rodney) Stowell of Cary, NC; seven grandchildren, Angela Foley, Joseph and Justin Phillips, Paul, Keith and Melanie Hildebrandt and Jordan Stowell; eleven great-grandchildren, Brandi, Jaimes, Alesha, Brett, Landon, Caleb, Julia, Wyatt, Elijah, Jack and Lucas; sister, Wilmetta E. Kresge of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service led by Rev. Clint Honkomp, O.P.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis, IL.
