Marilyn Walsh Bunn

Marilyn Walsh Bunn, 85, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Marilyn was born on August 27, 1932 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Michael and Emma Groesch Walsh. She married John Michael Bunn on May 10, 1958 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1997. Marilyn graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, where she earned her Gold Medal in piano. She went on to graduate from Quincy College and then was employed with Illinois Bell. She also enjoyed volunteering at church, playing golf, entertaining and watching sports, especially Notre Dame football. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kelly Kathleen Bunn and two siblings, Jean Suddes and Robert Walsh. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Bunn (husband, Jeff) Lochmandy of Atlanta, GA and two granddaughters, Regan and Abbie Lochmandy. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield, IL with Rev. Allen Kemme, celebrant, followed by a private burial. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Panther Creek Golf Club, 3001 Panther Creek Dr., Springfield, IL.
