Marilyn was born March 21, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of Swan and Margith Larsen Swanson. She married Harry Zatlin on August 30, 1969, in Chicago.
Marilyn was employed as an executive assistant with Scott Foresman until her retirement. She was a member of Springfield First United Methodist Church. Marilyn loved her grandchildren, and always stayed young at heart. She enjoyed making crafts, reading books, and swimming.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Harry Zatlin of Springfield; children, Michelle (Ken) Miner and Robert (Aimee) Zatlin; and grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, Ryder, Rylee, Evan, Kai, and Ellie.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines, IL.
