What a devastating loss. We've lost one of the funniest, loyal, kind, strong men around.
I met Mark in 7th grade when I moved, and started a new school. He quickly became my protector and a dear friend. He kept some of mean kids from picking on me. Even through high school and college, we could still call each other, day or night, if either of us needed anything .... or just to talk and laugh our heads off. It didn't matter if we were each dating someone, because we were just friends. And if I was dating a jerk, he'd tell me! It wasn't a friendship where we had to see each other often. We'd just pick up where we left off.. He was like a big brother I never had. He had the BEST stories, and told them so well. So funny! My family thought he was hilarious, and some of Mark's adventures and stories are ones we still tell. Who else do you know that owned a corvette BEFORE they were 16? How many people do you know who drove a corvette to their "Behind the Wheel" driving class at school, got out, drove the student driver car for class, and after class drove their corvette home? I have to smile when I think of all the stories he told. I will miss him.
To his family and Nancy, I am so very sorry for your loss. Mark was a good man.

What a friend-no one could ever ask for a better one. We shared 40+ years-we did Europe, most of the US, and about ever place between. We rode life's waves, we won, we lost, with never a cross word. We seen them come, we seen them go, we grabbed the "Brass-Ring" oh-so-many times. Thank you for the memories I shall always cherish. What a Ride My Friend!

I am so sorry for your great loss. Mark was a leader, a loyal friend.A loved man, he adored his nieces, and nephew, the babies they had.
His Sister and Brother in law were so wonderful to him he was grateful and so proud of them.
He loved his friends, good music, and laughter. We met in the 3rd grade at Lawrence School. I had been sick and Mark gathered all the boys from two classes and they came to my porch and asked my mom if i could come out and what a schock. He was also the spokesperson. I have loved Mark all of my life. We are the same age. He loved his Cars, so did everyone.
He always had a jaguar in the garage. A very thoughtful, well respected and loved man. We shall all miss you dearly my loving friend. I love you.
Vicki, and Kimberly Denny and Betts Pree. Amen
