

She was born on November 24, 1913 in Springfield, the daughter of Alfred and Martha Eden Odiorne. She married Robert C. Ostermeier in 1936 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a homemaker and mother to three children and opened her home to many who needed a place to go. She delighted in visiting with friends and playing bridge.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chatham where she was active in the Women’s Guild.
She is Survived by two sons, Robert Charles (wife, Dee Ann) and Alfred William (wife, Dolores) Ostermeier, both of Chatham; a daughter, Martha Eden (husband, Irving) Harris of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 22 at 11 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Clarence Rogers will officiate. Interment at Oakridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran High School or the Animal Protective League.
