Martha Ann Shores

She was born on December 28, 1942, the daughter of the late Harold William and Martha M. Charles. She married Kenneth R. Shores in Springfield in November of 1965. He preceded her in death in March of 2006.

Martha had worked for Child Support Division for the State of Illinois. She was a member of the Sangamon County HCE Quilting Group and the LLQA Quilting Association. She had been a member at St. Aloysius Catholic Parish.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly L. (husband Steve) Rebbe of Petersburg, IL; 3 grandsons, Travis (Luke) Rebbe of Springfield, Zachary R. Rebbe of St. Charles, MO, and Nicholas J. Rebbe of Petersburg, IL; a nephew Ralph Richno of Springfield; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and also her beloved cat “Sawyer”.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother William H. Charles and a sister Mary K. Richno.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 10 am until time of the memorial service at 11 am. Cremation rites were accorded and inurnment will be held immediately following the memorial service at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield.
