

She was born on March 28, 1919. She worked at Peabody Coal Company, the State of Illinois Public Aid for over 30 years, and Custom Companies. After retiring, she moved to Naples, FL with her daughter and son-in-law where she enjoyed the warm weather.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and husbands Earnest Dixon and Wiley McKee. She is survived by daughter Linzy Baptist (husband Martin Baptist) of Naples, FL, grandson Brian Baptist of Dickson, ND, granddaughter Kimberly Schwartz (husband Tom Schwartz), of Springfield, IL and four great-grandchildren, Hannah & Grant Sterling and Savanah & Jake Schwartz. Mary’s family was her passion and delight. She always had hope for the future and unfaltering support for those she loved. Her two dogs that would lie loyally at her side are among the family who will cherish her love and kindness and miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen St, Springfield, IL, 62703. A private graveside service officiated by Rev. Vaughn Beeman, will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Mary’s name to the charity of your choice.
