

She was born on August 30, 1940, in Cairo, IL, the daughter of John M. Sr. and Cathren M. (Veal) Turner. Mary married James “Jim” L. Green on June 19, 1959, in Vienna, IL. He preceded her in death, on April 3, 2013.
Mary worked for Spiegel Catalog in 1972, followed by Tom Hamilton Real Estate, and most recently as a secretary at Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge, both for over 40 years, and attended Central Baptist Church. Mary loved collecting Hallmark, dot art, crafts, anything relating to Disney World, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, John M. Turner, Jr.; and sister, Mildred Ann Turner; sister-in-law: Sharron Turner.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Tamme (Jay) King of Mt. Zion; grandchildren, Jayson (Sara) King of Mt Zion and Jayme (Ivan) King of N. Fort Myers, FL; and great-grandchildren, Jaydan, Jackson, Emily, and Natalie.
A private Graveside Ceremony will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
