Mary Agnes Hutchison

Mary was born on December 12, 1939 in Springfield, the daughter of Michael T. and Florence H. Coughlin Crowley. She married Roy Hutchison on November 12, 1966 in Springfield; he preceded her in death.

Mary retired from the State of IL in August of 2000. She enjoyed caring for her lawn and bowling in the Friday Senior League. Mary loved having a good time with her family at her brother Mike’s fish fries and playing cards at her brother Charlie’s cabin.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kathryn McDow and Sue Trello; and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Crowley.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Andrew) Schatz of Pawnee; four grandchildren, Sarah (David) Arteberry, Katie Schatz of Springfield, Christina Schatz of St. Charles, MO, and Aaron Schatz of Pawnee; two great-grandchildren, Brecklyn and Brooks Arteberry; two siblings, Michael (Sharon) Crowley of Chatham and Charlie (Janeen) Crowley of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at Brookhills Golf Club, 5350 Old Jacksonville Rd., Springfield, on Friday, June 4, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home—Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
