Mary Margaret Morris of Springfield passed away at 3:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born in Springfield, the daughter of William and Mary Payauyas Morris in Springfield. Mary had worked at Springfield Township Relief Office, Capital Township Relief Office, Sangamon County Treasurer's Office, and was a time keeper for Sangamo Electric. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Anne Brantner; three brothers: William C., Anthony J., and Joseph Z. Morris. Mary is survived by her loving family: a niece: Donna Anne Morris of Springfield; a nephew: William Ronald Morris of Springfield; and a sister-in-law: Lois R. Morris of Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Public Schools Foundation. Private family services were held at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2001 with the Rev. John Titus officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family of Mary Margaret Morris was served by Kirlin -Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
