Mary K. Richno, 79, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on May 29, 1941 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Harold and Martha (Ruzes) Charles. She married Ralph Richno and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1988.

Mary worked as an accountant for the Illinois Department of Public Aid Child Support Division. She was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish in Springfield.

She is survived by her son Ralph Richno of Springfield; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Conn, James Whitmore, and Madison Richno; 4 great-grandchildren, Tianah Conn, Alyviah Conn, Devin Conn, and Zoey Conn; her sister Martha Shores of Springfield, and a niece Kim (husband Steve) Rebbe of Petersburg, IL.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother William Charles.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11 am. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Ralph, my heart was so saddened when I received the news of your Mothers passing. I shall miss her greatly. When I spoke to her last week she sounded so good and assured me that you were taking good care of her.(Which I knew you would as always). What a good Son Mary had and what a good Mother you had. Please know my prayers are with you and your family at this time. I Loved Mary.

Words cannot express how much im going to miss my Aunt Mary. She was always there for me when I needed someone to talk too.I have so many fond memories of her and all the fun things she did with us as kids. She was very special to me and I am going to miss her so much.
