Mary Eloise "Muff" Schinneer

Mary Eloise "Muff" Schinneer, 95, formerly of Springfield, died on June 3, 2014. She was born March 3, 1919 in Springfield, the daughter of Clarence A. and Mary Elizabeth Barbre. She married Robert S. Schinneer at Blessed Sacrament Church on December 19, 1944. She was preceded in death by Robert; a brother, Ralph Barbre; sisters, Ruth McVary and Helen Smarjesse; and sons, Philip and Christopher. Mrs. Schinneer was a graduate of Pawnee High School and Springfield College in Illinois. She was a member of Little Flower Church, St. Therese Guild, and the Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors: one son, David (Karen) Schinneer of Springfield; four daughters, Michele (Robert) Smith of Tenants Harbor, ME, Stephanie (James) Hanely of Taylorville, Patrice (Daniel) Olson of Farragut, TN, and Elise (Richard) Miksch of Frisco, TX; daughter-in-law, Sandra Schinneer of Springfield; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Dr. Carrie Sopata, Jessica and Rachael Hanely, Colleen Schinneer-Milne, Lauren Schinneer, Peter and Margaret Olson, Abigail, Robert, Claire, and Elaine Miksch; two great- grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 9:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield with Rev.
