Mary Ann Wahlsmith, 71, of Springfield, died at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009 at her residence. Mary was born August 3, 1938 in Springfield, the daughter of Archie and Dorothy Painter Harmon. She married William R. Wahlsmith in 1969 in Springfield. Mary retired from Bunn-O-Matic and also worked with home health care services for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Lynn Carter; her parents; and two nephews, Billy and Jerry Harmon. She is survived by her husband, William "Bud" Wahlsmith; two sons, Leon (wife, Karla) Taber and Bobby Wahlsmith; four daughters, Debra (husband, Robert) Clark, Laura Haynes, Dorothy (husband, James) Franklin and Shelly (husband, Tim) Jackson; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five brothers, Archie (wife, Pat), Richard, Bobby, Billy (wife, Donna) and Roger (wife, Linda) Harmon; one sister, Dorothy (husband, Jim) Glass; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
