Mike was born on March 13, 1966, in Springfield, the son of William and Veronica (Thresher) Charles.
He attended Springfield High School and worked as a cook. Mike enjoyed cooking, sports, and sky diving.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal and maternal grandparents; and uncles, David Keith, Marco Doyle, and Delmar Leroy Thresher.
Mike is survived by his mother, Veronica Charles of Springfield; brothers, William “Bill” (Sharla) Charles of Atlanta, GA, and Jeffrey Charles of Springfield; aunt, Sherry Wright; uncles, Dencil Thresher and John Thresher; several cousins; and his beloved dog, D.O.G.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Graveside ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield.
