Michael E. Long, 49, of Pleasant Plains, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Michael was born on July 2, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Leslie and Carol Roland Long. Preceding Michael in death are his parents, Leslie Long and Carol Robertson; and a brother, Robert Leslie Long. He is survived by his fianc, Kathy A. Tritt of Pleasant Plains; two sisters, Linda (husband, John) Day of Paradise Valley, AZ and Sandra (husband, Joseph) Verheidge of Scottsdale, AZ; his step-father, Don Robertson of Berlin; and his ex-wife, Cheryl (husband, Raymond) Logan of Springfield; four nieces, five nephews and several cousins. Family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at McCullough- Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin, IL. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating. Burial will follow at Berlin Cemetery.
