
Michael B. Reagan II, 88, of Springfield, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard. Michael was born February 25, 1915 in Springfield, the son of Michael B. and Nellie Golden Reagan Sr. He married Edith “Edie” Walters on August 10, 1935 in Murphysboro and she preceded him in death in 1988. Michael had been employed with the United Auto Workers as an International Representative and Allis Chalmers where he served three terms as President of United Auto Workers Local 1027, retiring in 1977.He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael “Mickie” Reagan and a daughter, Beverly Weitzel. He is survived by two daughters: Patricia Broyles of Winfield, MO and Mary Dodd of Springfield, one son, John Reagan of Melbourne, FL, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Concelebrated Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church with Father Eugene Weitzel celebrant and Rev. Msgr. John A. Renken, V.G. and Rev. Msgr. Kenneth C. Steffen, V.G. concelebrants.Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family of Michael B.
